Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information SLDQR collects, why, and how you can control it. Using the Service means you're okay with what's described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text).
- QR code content: whatever you enter to create a QR code: URLs, text, Wi-Fi credentials, or business card details such as a business name, address, phone numbers, email, and GSTIN.
- Scan and view activity: for dynamic QR codes and business card pages, we log the timestamp, IP address, user agent, and referrer of each scan so you can see usage on your dashboard.
- Billing information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are handled by Razorpay. We store your subscription and payment status but never your full card or bank details. Those stay with Razorpay.
2. How we use it
- To operate the Service: generating your QR codes, hosting your business card pages, and redirecting dynamic QR scans;
- To show you scan analytics on your own QR codes;
- To process payments and manage your subscription;
- To respond to support requests; and
- To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
3. Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal data. We share information only with:
- Razorpay, to process payments for the Pro plan;
- Service providers who help us run the Service (for example, hosting), under obligations to protect your data; and
- Authorities, where required by law.
Content you put in a business card QR code or public dynamic QR redirect is, by design, visible to anyone who scans that specific code. That's the point of the feature, so only include what you intend the public to see.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your account and QR code data for as long as your account is active. Scan logs are kept to power your analytics; you can delete a QR code (and its scan history) at any time from your dashboard. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep records to meet legal or tax obligations.
5. Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete most of your information directly from your account settings and QR code dashboard. You can also contact us to request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account entirely.
6. Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a CSRF-protection cookie for security. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures, including password hashing and encrypted connections, to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data safe.
8. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post changes here with a new "Last updated" date.
